- The 2022 Genesis GV70 starts at $42,045 and ranges up to $63,545.
- Those prices are significantly less than equivalent BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC models.
- The GV70 will arrive at U.S. dealerships starting this summer.
Genesis is pricing its new GV70 SUV considerably lower than many of its competitors, with a starting price of $42,045 undercutting the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC by around $4000. Seven different versions of the GV70 will be offered, with the base 2.5T configuration available in four trim levels and the more powerful 3.5T model, starting at $53,645, available in three trim levels.
All GV70s come standard with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base 2.5T comes with equipment including adaptive cruise control, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, navigation, and a power liftgate. The more expensive Select ($46,045), Advanced ($50,195), and Sport Prestige ($53,795) trims add equipment but feature the same 300-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine.
The more powerful twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine has 375 horsepower and starts off at $53,645 for its base trim. It offers a Sport Advanced trim level for $58,645 and a loaded Sport Prestige model for $63,545 that adds 21-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, Nappa leather seats, and other niceties.
That fully loaded price is where six-cylinder versions of the X3 and GLC are just getting started. The comparable X3 M40i and AMG GLC43 models can top $70,000 with all the options.
Genesis says that the GV70 will arrive at U.S. dealerships this summer and is taking reservations on its website now.
