Lordstown Motors Endurance Electric Truck

The former GM plant in Lordstown, Ohio, made 16 million vehicles over 50 years before being shuttered in 2019. But Lordstown is being reborn, not just as a manufacturing facility, but as a car company — Lordstown Motors plans to produce its Endurance electric truck at the plant. Lordstown claims the Endurance will arrive with four hub-mounted electric motors, the first production vehicle to use the configuration, with a range of 260 miles on a full charge. Design renderings show a crew-cab truck with more a much more traditional styling and layout than the just-revealed Tesla Cybertruck, something Lordstown thinks will be an advantage. Specs are thin at the moment, but Lordstown expects to start delivering the Endurance in mid-to-late 2020.
