Tiny shoebox cars no more — Smart is ready to offer its biggest auto yet, the Concept #5 SUV. The Concept #5 is an electric offroad vehicle powered by two electric motors using an 800-volt battery architecture and a claimed range of over 430 miles. The chunky SUV features a slew of offroad pieces, like lighted limb risers, skid plates, a recessed winch, and a fold-out rear step for roof access. Tech also makes an appearance, with an NVIDIA lidar system, Smart Pilot Assist, front-facing projector, and an AI in-car assistant. The Mercedes-owned automaker will debut Concept #5 at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition beginning April 25th.
