Samsung Galaxy S8
Borrowing some of the best features of the ill-fated Note 7 and introducing a few of its own, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the company’s latest flagship phone. The new Infinity Display, which wraps around the sides, dominates the front and reduces the bezels to a minimum. As a result, the home button now lives in software, you can unlock the phone using iris scanning or the new face detect system, and the fingerprint sensor sits on the back, next to the 12-megapixel f1.7 camera — unchanged from the S7. It’s water and dirt resistant, powered by an octa-core processor, and has a new virtual assistant named Bixby that gets a dedicated button on the side. Early pre-orders will arrive with the new Oculus-powered Gear VR headset with Controller, whether you get the 5.8 or 6.2-inch (S8+) model in black, silver, or gray.
