Prodrive has been building successful race cars for 35 years, from the WRC to Formula One. When Prodrive decided to build a simulator, they had plenty of experience to draw on — and brought on designer Ian Callum to lend a hand in the process. The result is a racing sim setup that looks as sweeping as the cars it emulates. The exterior shell is made from 16 layers of steam-bent birch in paino black. An inner carbon fiber cockpit contains all the hardware: A Cobra Nogaro racing seat, AOC 49″ Dual-QHD 5K monitor, Simcube Pro steering motor, Precision SIM LM Pro steering wheel, custom mechanical pedal box with electric adjustment, and a customized PC with Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics card. The entire setup uses one cable to a household outlet, and Prodrive will deliver and assemble the cockpit.
