1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight

Those looking for the ultimate factory 911 can stop here. This 1973 911 Carrera RS Lightweight was Porsche’s highest-specification 911 when it left the factory and has remained under the ownership of just one person since new. One of just 200 Lightweight cars produced in 1973, this 911 was the first to wear the now-legendary Carrera and RS nameplates. It came equipped with thinner steel for the body panels, fiberglass bumpers, racing seats, and thinner glass to reduce weight. The 2.4-liter flat-six was punched out to 2.7 liters, with Bosch fuel injection and low-friction Nikasil coatings on the cylinder walls helping bump power to 210 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The car wears its original color inside and out and has its numbers-matching engine and transaxle. This ultra-rare 911 will go to auction May 2022 in Monaco.
