Donald Healey took the unsuccessful Austin A90 Atlantic and developed it into the Healey 100, with a reworked chassis and new bodywork. The cars were assembled by Austin, with the result becoming the legendary Austin-Healey 100. Based in Coventry, Canton will be producing 25 new Austin-Healey 100s with updated mechanicals and construction methods for a modern twist on the classic British roadster. Under the bonnet is a 3-liter inline-four making 185 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, sourced from J.M.E. Healeys. The body retains the iconic shape, smoothing and refining it by removing seams and exterior hinges and thoughtful touches like intakes behind the front fenders. The rear suspension remains relatively original with the exception of added dampers, while the front is a new double-wishbone design. Each car will be hand-assembled by Canton with a slew of options making each car unique.
