A great piece of automotive movie memorabilia is up for sale — the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport built by Ohio-based Mongoose Motors featured in Fast & Furious 5‘s train heist seen. Not a just-for-looks trailer queen, Mongoose Motors is a GM-licensed builder of Corvette Grand Sport replicas. Mongoose built 12 for the film, with each one featuring a tubular steel chassis, C4 suspension, and a 350ci GM crate motor making 380 horsepower backed by an automatic transmission. One three of the movie cars remain, with the one here being used as the green screen car — meaning it’s in pristine condition. The auction runs online April 14-21 at the Volo Auto Sales website.
