Electrogenic Porsche 911 EV Conversion Kit

Electrogenic wants to keep classic cars on the road no matter what regulations come to pass. The Oxfordshire, UK shop is joining a growing list of companies offering EV conversion kits, in this case for classic Porsche 911s. Electrogenic offers two kits for the G-series — 1973-1989 — and 964 generation 911s, the E62 and E62s. Both use a 62 kWh battery with 6.6 kW charging. The E62 delivers 214 horsepower and a massive 2,160 lb-ft of torque, while the E62s makes 321 horsepower and an absurd 2,876 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 times are sub-five seconds for the E62, and 3.1 for the E62s — well below the numbers for a stock car. Several driving modes are available with both kits, and the drop-in design makes no changes to the interior or the exterior of the car and is completely reversible. Electrogenic is building out a network of approved shops to carry out the conversions worldwide.
