Prodrive shot to stardom in racing as the team behind Subaru’s legendary Impreza rally cars piloted by Colin McRae and Richard Burns. Since 2008, Prodrive has been responsible for Aston Martin’s factory endurance racing cars and VW’s rally efforts. Now Prodrive is coming for the Dakar Rally with Bahrain Raid Xtreme and their BRX T1, designed by legend Ian Callum and piloted by Sebastien Loeb. The BRX T1 is powered by a 3.5-liter Ford twin-turbo V6 making 400 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, strapped to a chassis built to take 3,100 miles of brutal terrain in the Saudi Arabian desert. The BRX T1 will make its debut in January 2021 at the scheduled start of the rally.
