Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Concept | Uncrate

Mercedes’s long-rumored EQXX concept has finally broken cover ahead of the 2022 CES show, promising a revolution for the future of electric cars. The biggest advancement is the EQXX’s massive 621 miles of range, a feat accomplished without adding more battery cells. Mercedes leveraged its F1 program to create a 100 kWh battery pack that’s 50 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than the one used in the EQS 450+. An ultra-low 0.17 drag coefficient and weight reduction tricks including composite construction and lightweight alloys combine with tech like on-demand battery cooling to hit the range figure. Power comes from a 201 horsepower motor, but the EQXX focuses on efficiency, not performance. The sleek exterior is complimented by an equally stunning interior, featuring a 47.5-inch, 4k touchscreen that spans the width of the car and eliminated any physical switches and a host of sustainable materials.
