Bentley is bringing an industry-first industrial process to its old-world, handcrafted cars with 3D-printed, gold hardware interior embellishments. Available on the upcoming Bentley Mulliner Batur coupe, up to 210 grams of 18ct yellow gold will grace controls in the car’s cabin. The gold is reclaimed from old jewelry, ground into a fine powder, and 3D printed. The items are then shipped to Cooksongold in Birmingham, England, who hand-finish each piece. The gold hardware is used on the “Charisma Dial”, Organ Stop vent controls, and the steering wheel. The Mulliner Batur will be limited to 18 units worldwide.
