While they’re rather niche, Leica’s Monochrom lineup is beloved by certain photography purists. The Q3 Monochrom is the latest edition. It has a 60-megapixel, back-side illuminated black-and-white sensor stripped of Bayer and low-pass filters for incredible detail; it also records 8K monochromatic video. It sports a new-to-the-Q3 refined, customizable UI — the same as used in the SL3 cameras — as well as a 5.76 megapixel OLED viewfinder, a minimalist black-and-white aesthetic with matte black paint and no Red Dot, and a razor-sharp, fixed Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 lens with optical image stabilization.
