2026 Porsche 911 GT3 R & 911 Cup Race Cars

Porsche’s 911-based race cars are legendarily competitive, and that legacy continues with the 2026 911 GT3 R and 911 Cup. The new GT3 R gains additional ventilation openings for the wheel arches on the top of the front wings, which, combined with the optimized double-wishbone front axle, significantly improves aerodynamics and handling. Going forward, only vehicles for open-brand racing series will bear the suffix “GT” in combination with a number in the designation, so the new model for Porsche-sanctioned competitions is simply called the 911 Cup. Based on the road-legal 911 GT vehicles, it has upgraded brakes, adapted steering, and a redesigned, multifunction steering wheel combining a more visually appealing design with practical advantages that help with its designation as the training platform for Porsche junior drivers. Both models will be ready for the 2026 season.
