The moment has arrived where no one can hide from EVs. Chevrolet announced the new Equinox at the 2022 CES, and the most eye-catching part of the reveal was the price — $30,000. This finally brings EVs straight into the mainstream, with a familiar model by a major automaker: No strange, small compact cars or high-end nameplates with luxury car price tags. The Equinox uses GMs modular Ultium platform, and although performance or range figures weren’t announced, Chevrolet did say the SUV would go on sale in fall of 2023.
