The 2017 DeLorean is something different. Not that different, mind you, since it’s still going to be built with a mix of original and newly manufactured reproduction parts. The big difference is that it’s going to be an all-new car. Thanks to an obscure House bill, the DeLorean Motor Company will be able to start building and selling new rides as of next year. And while most of the parts will be the same, the new vehicles have to meet current Clean Air Act standards, which means a new, far more powerful engine, bigger wheels, bigger brakes, and updated shocks. So while it might look the same on the outside, the 2017 model should be far more enjoyable to drive. Heavy.
