Smart cars are known for being good on gas and compact — not for their off-road prowess. That didn’t stop California firm Gotham Garage from giving this 2012 Smart Fortwo a Safari-style makeover. Modifications include an external roll cage, a 4,000-pound winch, a wider, taller suspension to help fit the 30-inch tires, and a front skid plate. Featured on Netflix’s “Car Masters: Rust to Riches”, it’s currently up for auction on Doug DeMuro’s Cars & Bids site with no reserve.
