Gunther Werks of California builds some of the most coveted modernization of the 993-generation 911 — the last of the air-cooled 911s. This 911 Remastered by Gunther Werks is one of 25 cars built in the Carrera Coupe program. The standard 3.6-lliter flat-six is rebuilt by Rothsport Road and Race of Oregon, where it’s enlarged to 4.0 liters and makes 435 horsepower. The original Getrag G50 six-speed is also rebuilt with strengthened internals to handle the increased power. The interior is almost completely bespoke, with custom components and new Porsche equipment fitted. This Remastered 911 has been stored since its completion in 2022, having hardly touched the pavement, and will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s at its Arizona event.
