Utah-based Kirkham Motorsports produces some of the best Shelby Cobra continuations in the business — one that’s full of low-quality reproductions. Kirkham’s cars are so good that they earn an official CSX serial number, denoting them as the best of the best. Since Kirkham started making Cobras in 1994, a small team of artisans in Poland has produced the bodywork by hand in a range of materials, from steel to aluminum. This 427 S/C Cobra has something that no other Cobra has — a body made from hand-beaten bronze, with brushed-in racing stripes. Under the incredible body is an updated chassis with a 650 horsepower fuel-injected 427 V8 breathing through eight 58mm Borla throttle bodies build by the Carrol Shelby Engine Company, backed by a five-speed transmission. The interior is pure vintage Cobra, with minimal gauges and period-correct leather bucket seats. A true one-of-kind car, there’s nothing like it on the market.
