1965 Mustang Espionage
No state secrets were stolen in the making of this 1965 Mustang Espionage, but its true capabilities might be a secret — until you step on the gas. This vintage sleeper is powered by a 427 cubic inch LS7 V8 mated to a huge Whipple supercharger for a total output of 959 hp, routed to the rear custom forged wheels via a six-speed manual and custom driveshaft. It also has a Flowmaster exhaust, Baer brakes to bring things to a halt, and Recaro seats. But what’s on the outside is nearly as interesting: a 100% carbon fiber body that’s two inches wider on each side, clad in Spy Green paint to hide its telltale weave and far lighter than the normal body, making it even quicker than you’d expect.
