This 1961 Series I E-Type was rescued from a northern California shed in 2021 was restored with a good cause in mind — raising money for charity. Jaguar expert David Ferguson performed the restoration, completely stripping the car down to its bar chassis and inventorying all parts. The bodywork was restored, powder-coated, and painted Opalescent Silver Grey. The hood was replaced with a Le Mans-style aluminum fabricated piece, and the engine was disassembled and rebuilt with a performance head, camshafts, and other improvements for the later 4.2-liter cars. The interior comes with two sets of bucket seats and has been retrimmed in leather with a few modern conveniences like air conditioning and entertainment system. The car is currently being offered for sale by Schaltkulisse.
