1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster

The 300 SL roadster debuted in 1957 as a refinement of the 300 SL Gullwing, with customer-requested changes like a lower door sill and more usable truck space. The 240 horsepower inline-six remained unchanged along with the superb handling for the day. This 1957 300 SL spent its first 34 years in the hands of the same owner in the Bordeaux region of France. Presented in the classic Mercedes silver over a red leather interior, the car was restored in 2017 and has just 64,000 miles on the odometer. During the restoration, a set of period-correct luggage was commissioned in the style of the factory option offered by Mercedes. One of only 618 roadsters built in 1957, this is an excellent example of one of Mercedes’ most desirable cars.
